Saree Better Than Fast Fashion

Fast fashion sarees are priced to be replaced. The dye is not colourfast. The print is not original. The fabric is not chosen for how it wears,  it is chosen for how it photographs at the moment of purchase. A Mogasu saree is the opposite of every one of these decisions.
Our dyes are azo free and colourfast, they deepen rather than fade with washing on natural fabric. Our prints are custom-carved into wooden blocks that exist only for Mogasu, you cannot find the same motif on a fast fashion platform the following season. Our fabrics,  mul cotton, linen, Chanderi, Kota Doria,  are chosen for how they wear over years of use. Our production is in small batches, which means we are not making more than can be made well.
The cost per wearing of a Mogasu saree goes down every time you reach for it. The cost per wearing of a fast fashion saree goes up every time it disappoints.
