Here is what makes a Mogasu print unique in a way that cannot be replicated: every wooden block we use was carved specifically for our design. Not pulled from a shelf of existing patterns. Not shared with other brands. Carved from scratch, our motif, our specifications, our block, held at our artisan workshop in Bagru, Rajasthan and used for nothing else. This means that a cashew blossom on a Mogasu saree is our cashew blossom, drawn by our founder from a tree she can see from her kitchen, translated into a block form by a craftsman who has spent his life understanding what makes a good print, and pressed onto fabric in a colour he arrived at without a shade card, from experience alone. No other brand in India is printing these exact motifs on these exact fabrics in this exact palette. The combination of a Goa-based designer, custom blocks, Bagru artisan craft and small-batch production is ours entirely.
