The vintage aesthetic is not about age, it is about the quality of things made before speed became the point. The warmth of a hand block print that has slight variation in it. The depth of an azo free dye on natural linen that looks better after washing than before. The feeling of a fabric that was chosen for how it wears rather than how it photographs on a hanger. At Mogasu, every saree has this quality, not because we are trying to reference the past, but because hand block printing is a process that naturally produces objects with the warmth and individuality that the vintage aesthetic is reaching for. Our Bagru artisans press each motif using the same techniques that have been used in Rajasthan for centuries. The wood of the block, the hand that holds it, the eye that matches the colour, none of this has been updated by technology, and it shows in the result. For the woman who prefers the feel of something real over the finish of something perfect. Free shipping India. Pre-washed, with matching blouse piece.
