At Mogasu, the hand block printed mul saree is where our story begins and keeps returning. Mul cotton is woven with an open, airy weave that lets the skin breathe even when the coast turns humid and heavy. It drapes without resistance, moves without effort, and settles against the body like it was always meant to be there.Our mul sarees are designed in Goa, where every print draws from the world around us, the tilt of a coconut palm, the curve of a cashew blossom, the colour of the sea just before the monsoon arrives. Each motif is then hand printed by our artisans in Bagru, Rajasthan, pressed one wooden block at a time into the fabric with a care that no machine can replicate.This is slow fashion at its most deliberate and its most beautiful.
