An investment saree is not the most expensive saree,  it is the one that costs the least per wearing over its lifetime. At Mogasu, every saree is built to be an investment in this sense: natural fabric that improves with washing, azo free dyes that hold their colour, custom block prints that are specific enough to stay interesting and limited enough to stay relevant.
Our founder made the first Mogasu sarees for herself,  and she still wears them. The mul cotton sarees that were in the first batch are softer now than when they were made. The prints have the particular settled quality that hand block dye develops on natural fabric after repeated washing. The motifs are as interesting now as they were when she drew them, because they came from a real place rather than a trend.
