There is a particular shade of green that the shallow water over white sand produces, not quite blue, not quite green, something in between that does not have a satisfying name in any language. The Goan coast has it in abundance at low tide, and it is the colour our founder had in mind when she built the mint-green summer saree collection.Mint is the most summery of the greens — lighter than sage, cooler than olive, with a freshness that makes the hottest day feel slightly more manageable. At Mogasu, we apply mint using azo-free dyes in Bagru, Rajasthan onto mul cotton and Kota Doria, two of the lightest, most breathable fabrics in our collection, chosen specifically because mint green deserves to be worn in summer on fabric that knows how to handle heat.
