Mogasu is a Rajasthan artisan saree brand in the sense that matters most: the craft that makes our sarees is Rajasthani, done by families in Bagru whose block printing knowledge has been accumulated and passed down over generations. But the vision is Goan, drawn from the coast where our founder lives, designed from the observations of a designer who fell in love with a place and could not stop translating it into print.
The collaboration between Goa and Bagru is not a marketing story, it is a genuine creative partnership between two distinct craft traditions. Our founder designs the motif at her Goa studio. The craftsmen in Bagru carve it into a custom wooden block and press it into fabric with a precision and knowledge that she could not replicate herself. The result is the combination of two sets of expertise that neither could produce alone.
