When you buy a Mogasu saree, the money goes to a specific place,  to the artisan families in Bagru, Rajasthan who have been hand block printing for generations and whose skill is, without exaggeration, extraordinary. These are not anonymous factory workers. They are craftspeople who can look at a colour and reproduce it without a shade card, who understand the pressure required for a clean block impression on sheer Kota Doria versus dense linen, who have spent their working lives developing knowledge that cannot be downloaded or automated.
Mogasu's relationship with its Bagru artisans is direct, no middleman, no aggregator, no platform taking a cut between the workshop and the customer's doorstep. Our founder established these relationships herself and maintains them personally.
Every saree in our collection is a saree that supports artisans, not as a marketing claim but as a structural reality. The craft is the product. Without the artisan, there is no Mogasu.
