Humidity is Goa's most honest weather. It wraps around you from June through September and asks, very directly, what you are wearing. At Mogasu, we answer with sarees that were built for exactly this, airy, open-weave fabrics that let the body breathe even when the air outside refuses to. This collection began as a personal solution. Our founder moved to Goa after her wedding and found herself standing at her wardrobe each morning, rejecting saree after saree that felt too heavy for the coast. As a NIFT-trained designer, she decided to build what she could not find. She chose mul cotton, linen and Kota Doria, fabrics with open weaves, natural fibres and the kind of lightness that makes humid weather feel manageable rather than oppressive. Each airy saree is then hand block printed in Bagru, Rajasthan, with prints born at our Goa studio. Coastal motifs. Goan colours. The feeling of a sea breeze folded into fabric. For the woman who refuses to let the weather choose her saree. Comes with a matching blouse piece.
