A founder-led brand is one where the person who started it is still making the decisions that matter, what to print, what not to print, which fabrics to use, which artisans to work with, which batches are good enough to send out and which need to go back. At Mogasu, that person is our founder, every day.
She is a NIFT-trained designer who relocated to Goa after her wedding and spent her first months here realising that the sarees she wanted to wear did not exist. Too heavy for the coast. Too generic for her taste. Too mass-produced to express anything personal. So she built what she could not find.
Every Mogasu print comes from her sketchbook, drawn from the coast she lives on, the culture she has absorbed, the childhood memories that surface unexpectedly and demand to become motifs. The artisans in Bagru, Rajasthan she works with are partners rather than vendors. The brand is hers, entirely, from first sketch to your doorstep.
