At Mogasu, the mul cotton and linen range sits at this intersection: every saree pressed by an artisan hand in Bagru, Rajasthan using custom wooden blocks carved for our Goa-inspired designs, using azo free dyes on natural fabric, in small batches that keep the quality high and the quantities honest.
Each handmade saree under ₹5000 at Mogasu takes between one and one and a half hours to print. That time is in the fabric when it reaches you, in the depth of the dye, the warmth of the impression, the slight variation that tells you a human being made this and not a machine. These are not things that a mass-produced saree at this price point can offer.
