Lightweight Saree for Summer

Summer in India deserves a saree that understands it. Not a saree you merely tolerate in the heat but one that makes the heat feel irrelevant. At Mogasu, every saree we make is a lightweight saree for summer, born from the very specific experience of living beautifully on the coast of Goa. Our founder moved to Goa after her wedding and quickly found that the sarees she had loved in her previous life heavier silks, denser weaves felt suffocating in the coastal humidity. As a designer, her response was to create something better. She chose fabrics that breathe: mul cotton, linen, Chanderi, Kota Doria. And she printed them with the Goa she had fallen in love with. Each lightweight summer saree in our collection is hand block printed in Bagru, Rajasthan, using motifs designed at our coastal studio. Cashew blossoms, sea creatures, spice patterns and tile-inspired geometrics all pressed into fabric that moves with you rather than against you. Summer was made for this.
